My name is Kyle Christel and I am the Math Intervention Specialist at Maple Grove. This is my third year at Maple Grove. Prior to this position I was a classroom teacher for 7 years working for Vancouver and Evergreen public schools. My wife is an educator in the Vancouver school district and we have two young daughters and a dog named Kona.
My primary objective is to help students improve their math skills so they are able to be successful during core level tasks in their classroom. I am very excited to see students growth throughout the year and to facilitate an environment of strong learners. This year we will see our students abilities to comprehend and solve math related word problems improve. I look forward to working with parents and families to help ensure additional support for our students is being provided at home. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Go Cougs! Hello, my name is Sheila Robles and I have been a Math Intervention Instructional Assistant since 2013 here at Maple Grove. I have worked for the district in many ways since 2010. I love the Seattle SEAHAWKS! 12th (Wo)man!
My husband is a Field Service Engineer, my daughter also works for the school district, and my son is a senior in college.
My main goal is to build students’ confidence in Math while teaching them new strategies to aid them in their core Math studies. I enjoy seeing the students’ grow and the moments when you see the smile on their face when they begin to understand what they are working so hard to learn.
